Please, please help with the Baby Elephants.
Here in Australia we have recently discovered, thousands of babies and children from
England were shipped over here during war time. These children were told their parents had
died or not wanted them. The parents were told the children had been adopted. This was not
the case.
Why were the baby ellies taken from their mothers in the first place????? Especially to be
placed in the hands of a monster!!! Is Africa so desperate for money, that they don't
bother to screen these types of people?? What if we handled our adoptions of children in
the same way?????? I ask you!!!!!!! Don't we punish criminals for war time atrocities and
other criminals how violate our rights to live in a safe society?
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE HERE????
Please help us!
Thank you for your time.

This man and his company have been abusing these elephants for far too long. there should
be no discussion in this regard.these elephants should be confiscated and resettled
somewhere where they can live a long and natural life. I hope that something can also be
done for the elephants in England.

I would like to thank the Carte Blanche Team for showing the plight of the Tuli Elephants
on TV. Despite the fact I found it absolutely horrific I am truly glad that this was
revealed to the people of South Africa. If not for this these poor creatures would still
be subjected to this absolutely vicious and barbaric treatment. What have these poor
" Babies " ever done to us to deserve treatment like this? What I wish for is
that the perpetrator gets subjected to treatment of the same nature and prosecuted to the
full extent of the law. People like that do not deserve to be a part of our society. I
would put them in the same class as people who abuse and molest children. I think the
person that should also be thanked is the one who took the video and had the courage to
pass it on to someone who would be able to make a difference. Well done Carte Blanche and
keep up the good work.

I was horrified to read the story of the Tuli elephants in the Sunday press and on the
Internet Carte Blanche site. All South Africans everywhere must feel the terrible shame
that this matter and similar incidents bring down on the whole nation. I truly hope that
the victims will find more "human" carers at their destinations. Similarly I
hope that SA system of legal justice will not shirk their unmistakable duty to mete out a
punishment to the offender(s) that fit the crime. Well done to those who exposed the
tragedy - Carte Blanche, well done for giving the matter public exposure. Keep up the good
work - it can only be hoped that the involvement of Riccardo Ghiazza will also be fully
exposed. Surely the management of this pathetic facility should carry the final
responsibility for the elephants treatment? In this case it can only be said that - the
people involved in this affair are "lower" than anything that can be conceived
of in human terms. I am absolutely horrified and saddened.

Please do not attempt to save the elephants by placing them in zoos. For the past seven
years I have researched the welfare of elephants held captive in America's zoos. It is a
disgusting, painful, lonely, boring and tortured life that an elephant lives in a zoo.
Most all have arthritis from standing in the same spot for 30+ years, sleep on concrete,
don't get proper food or exercise, are stared at all day long, have nothing to do, are
traded from zoo to zoo or zoo to circus, suffer from being ripped apart from their
companions, are beaten, have tuberculosis. They are sad, their entire life is CONTROLLED
by overbearing humans. Elephants are herd animals! Captive animals are no
longer acceptable to an educated and enlightened public.
The only humane thing to do is to insure these baby elephants are RELEASED into the wild
and KEPT THERE. Keep Richard Ghiazza away from them, he is a devil.

Just to say congrats on all your hard work this week - its great to know things CAN be
done when people put their mind to it - I will be at the CT protest tomorrow...
re: possibility of these elephants being culled, I think that is a real possibility but I
think in some ways it would be kinder than what they are
currently experiencing.
Mrs. June De Jager
I'D LIKE TO PROTEST AGAINST THIS ACTION!
Morn Rautenbach from Bloemfontein
I admire the effort you put into this event as it is absolutely horrifying. I am not sure
what you intend to do but would like it if you could post me some details. I will surely
do my best to start any action here which you intend to do at your side. Just tell me what
you are planning and I will do the same this side

Don't stop at the elephants - please ask the farmer if he can take the wild dog and hyena
as well. I hear - through the grapevine - true or not??? - there are "cats"
there as well - but preferably - all the animals must go. In your efforts - don't forget
the elephants in the U.K.
and on the report about Ghiazzi still being paid for
the ellies:
NO - DEFINITELY NOT !!!!!!!!!! What are we telling the world - that crime pays! If you
abuse your child the welfare takes it away - they do not PAY for the child - if you abuse
your dog the SPCA takes it away - it is confiscated! These elephants are to be
confiscated! They are not to be paid for! The money that was donated is for the relocation
and transport of those animals and THE REST OF THE ANIMALS ARE TO BE REMOVED AS WELL! The
judge is to be put to the test! He is not thinking of the elephants. I've had enough. I
was going to that demo tomorrow in a quiet and peaceful frame of mind - now I'm going to
do my best to wind up everyone I can. Our justice system stinks - if we can't protect the
animals how the hell do we protect our children. No wonder there are people out there
taking the law into their own hands. ENOUGH!
THE WWF MUST MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT THESE ELEPHANTS DO NOT GO TO A
ZOO - IF THEY BUY THEM FOR R1.00 AND
SELL THEM TO ZOOS - WE'RE GOING TO THEIR OFFICES HERE IN RSA AND THIS TIME THERE WILL BE
10,000 PEOPLE THERE
AND WE'LL MAKE THEIR NAME MUD.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE FOR THE ACTION TODAY - FANTASTIC - PERHAPS NOW - WE THE PUBLIC CAN
START TO BAND
TOGETHER AND SORT OUT A LOT OF OTHER ISSUES - ONE BEING THE SITUATION AT THE
HARTEBEESPOORT DAM ZOO -
