Observations at the protest!

Here goes.

The protest went very well and so many people had such great banners, there was one that was a great big advertising board, condemning Ghiazza and also asking about the rest of the animals. Gareth Patterson was also lending his support. The "farm" has a huge range and the amount of animals you would not believe. The wild dogs and hyenas are kept in a so called quarantine area and the pens are small and the buck roam past which at one stage seem to excite them as well as the 2 cheetahs that are kept in wooden pens, the one cheetah seemed agitated and was pacing his enclosure, not sure if it was just the buck exciting him/her or the fact that people were walking past, although we were the only people there at that stage. The Asian ellies are seemingly roaming free and could be seen feeding in some trees. Could not see the babies at all, but there was a crane lifting people in a big crate and I think those people could see them.

All the people we met were wonderful and had so many different opinions, mostly people believe that these animals should be confiscated and that Ghiazza and the rest of his minions should be put in jail or worse. I have also found out that Ghiazza's wife Brenda apparently works for SA Breweries, maybe people need to start boycotting organisations who have ties to them or support them in any way. Also heard that the guy from the "eco-tourism org." that are buying the 5 ellies that the wwf are not taking is a friend of Ghiazza someone Saunders, and that Sandhurst Game Reserve were some ellies have gone belongs to Ghiazza, not sure how true but worth checking out. A petition was handed over by Jeremy Mansfield to the NSPCA, at least I have that pic. Jane Garrison also said that this was a great turnout for the protest and she was very happy about the amount of people that turned up.

We cannot stop now this has to be taken further by the government and they have to close this man down and find suitable places for ALL the animals to go, we need to question who are giving him permits for wild dogs and who buys all the animals that he has, they would not be there if he did not have buyers, do they really not know that he is a scumbag!! He MUST not be allowed to make money out of any of this that is why these animals should be confiscated not bought, the whole farm and any others he owns should be confiscated and turned into sanctuaries for animals who really have nowhere else to go.
