The NSPCA lost their case today in court - judge said the removal of elephants was not urgent! Wonder who's paying him? Furthermore - Ghiazza is changing his elephant pens to now take RHINO'S. After all this drama the Rhino and Elephant Foundation are going to let him take rhino's!!!!!!!!!!!! I contacted the Endangered Wildlife Trust regarding the wild dog - they say he was given permits by North West province and can keep the dogs provided he stays within the legal limits - well - he stayed within the legal limits with the elephants - didn't he!!!!!!!!!! No-one can tell me if the other animals are being monitored. The justice department and the sponsors of all the wildlife organisations must now be contacted - the sponsors can put pressure on to get these organisations to uphold their responsibilities to the animals - after all that's how they make their money.
and earlier 15:59: Have just returned from the farm - where the staunch and strong few are sitting and holding up the cause - it's hot out there and dusty. We've cut the grass so that the view into the property is good. There are definitely lions or "cats" there - you can hear them. I still feel that the court HAS to let a film crew in there to see exactly what is going on - the SPCA are restricted to an area. We need to know what is happening to the rest of the animals there. It is imperative. I have sent letters to the Endangered Wildlife Trust - no reply!!!!!!! I want to know why there are wild dog there!!!!!!!! We saw the elephants from a distance and we saw that blonde "female" (for want of another word ) that was part and parcel of the beatings on the T.V.
